Since each and every journalist or blogger worth his or her salt is coming up the best list, the worst list, the fucked up list and what all lists that exist in the trash cans inside the head... I've had not the slightest inclination to start one of my own. This feeling could also be the basis to explain to many readers as to why sometimes I don't do reviews for many movies they expect I would - cause it has been done to death by the million odd bloggers online along with the professional critics that there remains nothing more to add or say. (I know I know, I'm going tangent again from the topic of this post)

Ok. I admit. I used to watch Bill O'Reilly a lot when I first came to know of the show. But then there were too many things that I didn't agree with him on and it's been more than a year since I switched on the tele to watch his show.

Paul Thomas Anderson is back. And if you don't know who PT Anderson is then think : Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia and more...
This time he comes back after a long long time with Daniel Day Lewis and is based in the early 20th century about the upcoming and soon to explode oil business. The trailer has Lewis all intense, sitting in a room and asking a series of questions... Not much to extract the regular movie goer... but hard core Indy cinephiles and Anderson's fans will be quite excited I assume...

Rarely does something make you sit up and take notice. Especially if it's just a few clips of a movie...
Korea seems to be growing in leaps and bounds with respect to it's movie industry. Though for sometime it's been making some real classics not until "Virus" did I notice that they were not far behind Hollywood in making those polished SFX scenes.
Now a Korean actor has completed making a movie - D-WAR that has universe appeal (read: lot of white people, indian people and other people amongst korean people)... so far the news was a yawn... until I saw the trailer and the posters...

Here's the final Bourne Series releasing this July - The Bourne Ultimatum... Check the poster out... It looks like the third one is going to be more meaner, bad, bloody than it's predecessors...
Meanwhile "The Dark Knight" - that's Batman 2... not the sequel from the first run of Batman series done in the 80s and 90s... this is a sequel to renew from the beginning series being done by Nolan. Now Rachel is one my most favorite actresses and that has (ahem) nothing to do with the fact that she is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. And now it seems Deepa Mehta (Water, Fire, Earth) will be directing her in a project that stars John Abraham opposite her. Yes. Opposite. So could this be one of the first International projects where a Hollywood star and a Bollywood star act opposite each other?

It's one of those all time cinematic moments... having two great actors share the same screen space... though DeNiro and Pacino have been together in "Heat"... I was a bit let down by the whole saga. I was also hoping for DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman to come together which they did for a bit in "Sleepers"... but... back to the subject, Pacino and De Niro will be seen together in a new movie "Righteous Kill"...
But is it too late? With both actors past their prime screen time... will it have the impact? Time will tell... meanwhile here's what Yahoo reports...

The initial reviews from the India press on the third installment of Spiderman are coming out... At Rediff both Raja Sen and Arthur J. Pais seem to be hurt over what Sam Raimi has turned Spiderman 3 into.
While Raja Sen, a self confessed Spidey fan (he even has a spidey tattoo on his back) feels the movie can't stop blabbering and crying in self pity drowning itself within it, Pais put it as "Engrossing but not enchanting". Raja even goes to the point to ask Sony - the production house backing Spiderman to get younger writers and actor for the lead.
The vibe one gets from this third installment, isn't that good. Yes there was euphoria and gotta see first ...

There are those you would shag and move on. And then there are those where everything comes to a standstill. There is no shock. There is no revelation in a monumental moment. There is no lightning, storm brewing up, thunderstorms.
It's all still. Calm. Still yes. Calm outside. Yes. Calm Inside. No. Six hours after the movie, the hangover exists.
No reaction to this movie can be done in a review clinic. It should be straight from the heart. Yet, how does one react when there is a storm in the density of stillness.

Cage-bhai will soon be in India. Reason. It's all a part of the massive (?) attention to India being given by the heavy weight studios in Hollywood.

The movie will be directed by... umm... the King of "Will I ever make a film post announcement"...

So we all can read this news and move on. Because in Shekhar's case, there is a 9.999999 out of a 10 probability that the movie will never be made.

NBC.com has an exclusive trailer for Spiderman 3 that they have put up for the next 24 hours only. They'll be taking the trailer down at 9pm Pacific (1030am Wed morning India)...
One look at it... and WOW... the trailer is long and in HD... it took me about 5 minutes to download it over a typical cable connection.
The trailer shows the entire fight in the air sequence between Peter Parker and Harry. Don't miss it...
