Friday Playlist : Drive by the ocean songs

Somehow the two songs from Rock On!! playing in the last post are still on a non stop loop. It’s been a long time since I did a Friday Masala but instead of writing something I thought lets do a different kind of Masala this friday. So here’s a playlist for you dear readers. I randomly (and very quickly) picked a few songs to play for you. The playlist may only hit the sweet spot if you are in the mood for it… else just keep skipping over the songs till you find something good.

The playlist includes

  • Nahin Samne Tu (Taal)
  • Ye Tumhari Meri Baatein (Rock On!!)
  • Ek Lau (Aamir)
  • Chup Tum Raho (Is Raat ki Subah Nahin)
  • Phir Dekhiye (Rock On!!)
  • Dooba Dooba (what was the band? I forget their name)
  • Kiss from a Rose (Seal)
  • Kaisi Hain Yeh Rut (Dil Chahta Hain)
  • Guzar Na Jaye (Rog)
  • Yeh Haseen Vadiyan (Roja)
  • Sau Dard (Jaan e Man)
  • Tum Se Hi (Jab We Met)

Hope you enjoy it and the playlist takes you out someplace special… perhaps a drive by the ocean in your convertible or a walk on the beach or a few drinks as you sit on the porch watching the mountain tops being embraced by the fog or simply lying in the backyard watching the clouds waving at you as they pass by… and lastly, if you like any song, don’t forget to buy the CD or Song off iTunes or your nearby music store. (*yes*)

After clicking play, you can skip songs by clicking the left or the right arrow, to move to the next or previous song. Enjoy!

Ya’ll be good, stay safe and have a rockin weekend!

Dooba Dooba is by Silk Route. Btw, I’ve had the title track of Rock On on my playlist since last Saturday. :-) That and some songs by some really good Indian rocks bands.

” Meri aankhon mein tum ho
    Meri Dhadkan mein tumho
Ab yeh Haalat hain, Dono jab saath hain
Hum dono ka yeh pyaar hain kitna saadha”

    Marc Robinson and Tara Deshpande..

I just had such slow music playlist on loop two days ago..some songs I have there are…
    Dil Dhoondhta Hai..
    Ae Dil e Nadaan..
    Aur Kya Ehde Wafa..
    Dil Hoon Hoon Kare..
    Yaara Seeli Seeli..
And some songs from my favorite artists such as..
    Iron & Wine..
    Elbow..
    The Gathering..
and some rare 20 minutes long guitar jams of Jimi Hendrix..

    aah…the bliss..

PS. The coincidence is that I am also sitting in the balcony looking over the harbor of vast Atlantic and listening to these songs..wow..the ocean bit fits right in!

@oz, btw the lead singer of Silk Route is the same guy who sang ‘Tum Se Hi’ - Mohit Chauhan, i think.
