Will you marry me?
I never in my life thought I would ask “the” question. Today, I am. It’s been 3 years since we met… and I sit here on my blog asking you this question…
For 3 years you’ve stood rock solid next to me. In all my ups and downs, that life has dished out. You’ve seen me strong. You’ve seen me crushed in depression. You’ve seen the joker, the clown, the dreamer, the playboy, the short temper, the friend, the lover, the son, the devoted-to-you… the man… You’ve stayed calm and composed in my emotional swings, in my clamped up days, in those busy ones… you’ve cared for me when I lay sick, or rushed in my arms when I came back from a business trip.
You, who understands me, and cares for me… as I do to you. 3 years ago, I was just a playboy, since the last 3 years, I’ve simply belonged to you. I don’t know what it is, when it happened or why it happened. I don’t know what love means, but if it is this… so be it.
I don’t know where life will take us from here. I have no clue. I know life won’t be normal for you, as you have already noticed. Living with an oz, is tough, exciting, nerve wrecking, joyous, unconventional, abnormal, exhilarating, boring, over the top, spiritual, comedy… and all those impromptu standup routines performed to make you laugh as we shop, walk, dine, or just simply lay on the sofa watching TV.
I know, you realize I’m not perfect and yet you accept me for me. Never mind my sloppiness, my emotional pendulum swings, the frequent laziness, the sudden spurts of energy that walk over everyone around me, the quick passionate interests in something new, the equally quick losing of interests in those… and you take it all… and keep me in balance.
And each time I open my eyes and look at you smiling, as I write this post… I realize… you complete me. You bring the normal-ness in an oz life… in my life… in me…
So like Morpheus, I, oz offer you two options - the blue pill and the red pill. Take the red pill and you will forget everything. Life will be back to normal and everything will be just like the way it was.
But I pray… you take the blue pill, for life that you’ve seen in the last 3 years with it’s so many twists, turns, bumps, jumps, bounces, swings… will be just that… a roller coaster ride…
I know even this post, proposing to you is not normal… stupid perhaps… but that’s me… and no woman could make me do that… except you… and for this, I’ll remain yours…

No in all honesty and good faith………..Congratulations. Man…… did you go down on one knee and bring her a big shiny rock for her dainty finger? Girls expect these things………
on a side note I am nearing 10 years with my gal. like you said its going to be a lot of ups and downs and fireworks, but it is all good. we got a 7 and a 5 year old who makes the bond even stronger.
