PFCRonin - The contest for Movie Reviewing
The question I get is “Why?”… from most who know me on a personal level. They have reasons to ask the question. And yep, it’s a very valid question. The PFCOne Film Festival saw me stressed to levels I haven’t experienced for a long time… the last bright stressful moment I remember was trying to save a million dollar contract that would be lost and the blame would fall on my the then 26 year old shoulders. In short - my boss would have thrown me off the 30th floor office in the beautiful concrete Genzai district.
So why? The questioners after the festival see me as going cranky. I have these days developed a wonderfully short temperament that blows in the face of anyone and honestly everyone, even those who place their knives and fork 2 millimeters away from that beautifully perfect position. Irritation is a fling I have every other minute and I’ve been labelled Musharraf (God forbid!) to Ronin.
Some have just waved it off as one of phases, others are pissed off.
But the passion is intact. Mercifully. And it drives me to move on. So when the idea came in that why not have a movie reviewer contest… I immediately started dialing numbers to call up friends about the idea.
The passion needs a new ride… to nowhere… just keep on going… its honest… it’s sincere… it’s without doubt with no expectations… it will prove beneficial for a few… motivate a few more… wake up a few others… and drive some of us to nuts… the journey continues forward.
