JG ke paas wonderful premise hain, Neil Nitin Mukesh hain, Dharmendra hain, Zakir Husain hain, the ever dependable Vinay Pathak hain and above all master technician Sriram Raghavan hain… kya hain tumhare paas? (Hinglish: JG has blah blah blah, what do you have?)
oz: Mere pass ek migrane headache (not because of JG) aur ek 8 dollar ka ticket aur intermittent boredom (because of JG) hain
ab ye dhai kilo ka haath kisi par padta hai, to admi bored nahin, uppar board ho jata hai. (Hinglish: When this 2 and half kg hand falling down you going up)
oz: Johnny Gaddaar ko, Sriram Sir ki taunt premise marne nahin degi aur Sriram Sir ki overdose of homage aur lack of tight twisters jeene nahin denge. Ke main jhoot boliya… koi na!

oz: Kabhi kabhi kuch mindblowing thriller banane ke liye kuch hard twisters aur sharp tightness karna padta hain. Aur har good premise, tight start, losing grip, on and off attention holder jaise thriller ko Johnny Gaddaar kehte hain… kya kehte hain?
Abay chutiye Pachas-pachas kos dur tak jab bachcha rota hai toh maa bolti hai beta so ja, nahin to Bollywood ek aur chutiya film banayega… so what is the problem with JG even if in your words it has a good premise, Sriram at the helm, good quality acting, even if it did not hold your attention all throughout its 2 and a half hour length… atleast a good attempt has been made…
oz: Tareekh pe tareekh milti rahi hai lekin insaaf nahin milta. Milti hai to sirf ek average movie. Sriram ne Johnny Gaddaar ko homage and thriller mix karke, pacing slow karke uska ek bhadta (Hinglish: vegetable) bana diya hain. End mein milti hain toh bus unattached characters. End mein milti hain toh bus on and off attention. End mein milti hain toh bus overdosed in your face homage

oz: Sriram ko uske fans ne charon tarf se gher rakha hain. Bhalaeee isi mein hain ki Sriram keeps experimenting as usual. Sometimes things may not work for all. But the intentions and motives are there and that should be appreciated.

oz: BBBBBB Bee Minus. Neil is a find. But Sriram loses the tight, taunt, freshness shown in Ek Hasina Thi… yet this one is worth a dekko even if on DVD.

point hai … yeh the homage thing does act as a double edge sword….some might love it….some just want a see a good original story…which keeps them grounded in reality than making them feel again and again and again that it’s a movie after all…..anyways mujhe maza aaya…hmm…me thinking to ..playing devil’s advocate to myself…..

homage in one or at max two scenes is fine … but every where im seeing “james hedly chase novels”, movies, dev anand, RK Narayan’s Guide (tribute to Vijay Anand)
Neil mukesh doesnt work that much for me .. he cldve been much much better….
Haseena was a better, less ‘amateur’ film

abey ghanta homage….. kya homage shomage ka bawaal macha rakha hai yarr…..james hadley chase, vijay anand, dev anand, suneil anand, viswanathan anand, saala koi bacha hai kya…..
Picture theek hai… could have been better..dharam se le ke neil tak - sab garam hain…movie is full of one liners…some work ..some dont….and vinay pathak is turning out to be the poor mans paresh rawal…hope he doesnt become like satyen kapoo - ki har film mein ek role mil raha hai…but he has slogged enuff to reach here….
oz baby, i couldnt agree with your article more….there seems to be so much homage being paid that one gets disctracted from the film….
