Heyy Babyy : Three Men and a Baby?
Thursday, June 28th, 2007
Just got to catch the trailer of Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy... looks like the guy who comically kicked filmmakers in Bombay for making copies of Hollywood products on his TV Show, has ended up directing his first feature that looks to be a direct lift from the movie Three Men and a Baby... check the video out
I suppose Sajid Khan's next tv show will be called... Copy pe Copy

I had heard about it... but it was just today I walked on to their site... Funny or Die is run by comedy fans from the Silicon Valley and have big names on their team to boast about over beer... like... Will Ferrell...
Their recent video Good Cop, Baby Cop is a rage over the internet... check it out.

Can this ever happen on Indian Television?
Thursday, June 21st, 2007
Ok. I admit. I used to watch Bill O'Reilly a lot when I first came to know of the show. But then there were too many things that I didn't agree with him on and it's been more than a year since I switched on the tele to watch his show.
Watch the video, specially in the last half when sparks begin to fly and voices are raised high.

Came across a few jokes, so here you go!

Sunday School
Little Mary was not the best student in Sunday School. Usually she slept through the class. One day the teacher called on her while she was napping, ''Tell me, Mary, who created the universe?'' When Mary didn't stir, little Johnny, an altruistic boy seated in the chair behind her, took a pin and jabbed her in the rear. ''God Almighty !'' shouted Mary and the teacher said, ''Very good'' and Mary fell back to sleep.
A while later the teacher asked Mary, ''Who is our Lord and Savior?'' But Mary didn't even stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to the rescue and stuck her again. ''Jesus Christ!'' shouted Mary ...

Would appreciate if those who have read the book or it's online version, could take some time and review it there. And those who still haven't bought it... please go ahead and order your copy at Amazon before it runs out of print :)
So is the iPhone, Jobs’ last stop?
Monday, June 18th, 2007
It's barely two weeks left for the iPhone to hit the shelves. Will it be the new iPod wonder? As of now, there's a huge for and against talk about the iPhone all over the internet.
But here's an artilce which focuses on Steve Jobs the man who turned Apple around, after being invited back to head the "90 days away from bankruptcy" company in 1997. And he did it. But ofcourse the iPod did it for him.
The article is quite interesting as it is from a Mac purist who doesn't have much love for Jobs. Though there may be nothing new for those who have followed Jobs' life and career graph closely, it is quite an interesting 8 page ...
Trailer of “There will be Blood”
Monday, June 18th, 2007
Paul Thomas Anderson is back. And if you don't know who PT Anderson is then think : Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia and more...
This time he comes back after a long long time with Daniel Day Lewis and is based in the early 20th century about the upcoming and soon to explode oil business. The trailer has Lewis all intense, sitting in a room and asking a series of questions... Not much to extract the regular movie goer... but hard core Indy cinephiles and Anderson's fans will be quite excited I assume...
Check the trailer out...

Thanks for your patience guys. The new design is alive and kicking. The big change is the footer where a lot of my lists have been transferred to from the sidebar. If you see anything weird in the placements or things going off on your webpage, please do let me know.

Desi Train will be up and down for the next day or two, as I'm changing the theme to accomodate more features. Hopefully, I'll be able to do this without a glitch.
Sivaji - The Boss: Experience of a Fan
Friday, June 15th, 2007
Reposted from Passionforcinema.com
I am a Rajinikanth fan. My buddy Krishna and I purchased $21 tickets to watch the first day, first show of Sivaji in Los Angeles. We made a solid 30 mile drive to West Hills from Venice Beach, and as we planned, got there a good hour early so we could stand ahead in line and hog the best seats in the house. As we parked and walked towards the Laemmle multiplex, we saw that there was no queue. I must admit we were a little surprised. We handed our tickets to the usher and walked into the theatre, we got another shock. It was almost full!

It’s D-WAR not Deewar you idiot
Friday, June 15th, 2007
Rarely does something make you sit up and take notice. Especially if it's just a few clips of a movie...
Korea seems to be growing in leaps and bounds with respect to it's movie industry. Though for sometime it's been making some real classics not until "Virus" did I notice that they were not far behind Hollywood in making those polished SFX scenes.
Now a Korean actor has completed making a movie - D-WAR that has universe appeal (read: lot of white people, indian people and other people amongst korean people)... so far the news was a yawn... until I saw the trailer and the posters...

Bourne Heroes
Friday, June 15th, 2007
A couple of snippets of news trickling in from Hollywood...
Here's the final Bourne Series releasing this July - The Bourne Ultimatum... Check the poster out... It looks like the third one is going to be more meaner, bad, bloody than it's predecessors...
Meanwhile "The Dark Knight" - that's Batman 2... not the sequel from the first run of Batman series done in the 80s and 90s... this is a sequel to renew from the beginning series being done by Nolan. Got the new Batman suit, again like Bourne 3, the suit looks meaner, badder and seems like a lot of skulls shall be broken in this one. Wait there's Joker in Batman 2 and guess who's playing the ...

Chak De India
Friday, June 15th, 2007
Just found the first poster of the movie was released. Even if it sounds like "A League of their Own"... I would love to see what magic Shimit Amin (Ab Tak Chappan) weaves around this one...
Other thoughts: Don't like the logo... Chak De in my opinion should have been smaller and should have had more energy to it (like a running writing moving up at a slant) while India the larger of the alphabets could have been in blocks
