There is a world cup competition for a game. A coach of a nation's team participating in the world event is murdered. Investigations reveal he was murdered.

Each day the game continues as if nothing has happened. Two teams enter the field, fans converge on the cricketing grounds or their TV sets, commentators pick up their mics and advertisers flood in their regular dose of telly-cannabis.

India and Pakistan are two cricket-crazy nations... and that's putting it mildly. But after both countries' abysmal performances at the World Cup, it's no doubt there's going to be a lot of drama in the nations, what with suicides and heart attacks already happening in India. Last day at work. Woke up with a bit of a nervousness. Evaporated soon thereafter over a hot cup of masala chai. Suparn called up. Actually I noticed he had called me earlier at 4 in the morning. Was too groggy to get up and pick up the phone.
"DID YOU CHECK MY LATEST POST ON PFC?"
What the hell? It must be bombastic.
He asked me to read it and call him back. I did. It was fun, motivating and gave me nice long breaths to savor.
Almost 9am. Got ready and drove to work. Waiting for the final call from HR, which they've promised to do by 11am. Gonna take my exit package and head for Gujju thali.

The day Pakistan cricket team were bundled out of the World Cup Cricket tournament, Bob Woolmer - the coach for the Pakistani team, breathed his last in his hotel room.
He was found the next day and taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. Initial reports claimed a heart attack or a heart failure.
Two days ago Geo TV of Pakistan announces Bob Woolmer was murdered in his hotel room. It starts a frenzy all over the media.

Another cracking sound by the angry clouds had her looking from the back of the sofa outside the ocean facing apartment. So I'm home. Had a nice relaxing morning. Completely free of any tensions about my next career step. And around 10am I pick up my 4 week's of unwashed clothes, towels and bedsheets and walk to the laundry in my complex.

That's the first thought that blinked through my mind as I typed in my resignation. A normal reaction would be the one of panic or nervousness, tension and nail biting.
