Jessica Lal : Justice At Last!!!!!!

Good thing Ram Jethmalani’s drama didn’t work… Thank God for that! (It would be really great if one could have clicked Jethmalani after the judge gave his verdict)

The Delhi High Court on Monday held Manu Sharma guilty of murdering Jessica Lall seven years ago at a party when she refused to serve him a drink.
Sharma along with eight other accused was acquitted by a trial court in February 2006.
The divisional bench of Justice RS Sodhi and Justice PK Bhasin also convicted co-accused Vikas Yadav and Amandeep Singh Gill of conspiracy and destruction of evidence. The other six accused were acquitted for want of evidence.

The court will pronounce the quantum of sentence on Wednesday. Convicted of murder under section 302 of IPC, Sharma may face either life imprisonment or death penalty.
“It’s a big day for the Lall family, said Welsa Lall, Jessica’s elder sister who was present in the court at the time of the judgement. “We feel vindicated,†said Lall whose eyes welled up on hearing the verdict. Jessica’s younger sister Sabrina Lall who’s been most active member of the family in fighting against the accused decided to stay at home on the day of verdict. “My mind is absolutely blank, all I know is that I am very relieved,†she said on the phone.
Also present outside the court were Neelam Katara, mother of deceased Nitish Katara and Indu Jalali, friend of Priyadarshini Mattoo. “We all feel happy for the conviction. It’s a lesson for the rich and powerful who often take law in their hands. Had Jessica’s parents been alive, they would have been very happy today. I urge all the people who have been denied justice not to sit at home but to come forward and fight,†said Katara whose son’s murder case is being heard in the trial court.
Gill was the only accused present in the court and was immediately taken into custody by the Delhi Police.
Sharma, however, was not present in the court and would be taken into custody by Monday evening. The third convict, Vikas Yadav, prime accused in the Nitish Katara murder case, is already in Tihar jail.

Would actually like to know what would be Mr. Jethmalani’s take on the whole thing……….”Speechless for once” I guess…. Am specifically reminded of the statement he made saying “All that is legitimate will be done”. Perhaps, he could not find the “tall Sikh gentlemen” to appear in court at the right time. In fact I wish some part of Manu Sharma’s sentence is shared by his friend Mr. Jethmalani.
Bravo to Sabrina and Lall Family to fight through this.

That bastard Manu has the balls to blame his fate for fucking his life. He has done everything and now says that his bhagya has put him in this situation.
If he had controlled his balls rather than his brains in the pub, Jessica would have been living today and he would have been living a happy life.
