I Fear…
Some of you have commented and some have emailed me about a recent post on “WANTING” a change… the principles followed there are from The Sedona Method that I’ve been practicing for close to two years now… on and off… not yet consistent enough… search for SEDONA in the search box, which will give you quite a few posts I’ve written on the method and my experiences with it.
I think this week’s about self-introspection (yawn…)… but it’s good… one of the things to realize is that what you can truly achieve or in other words what you can truly receive from the universe or destiny (or what ever you want to call it)… but haven’t is because of your own apprehensions and aversions towards what you would like to receive (your goals, ambitions, dreams etc.)
One way of getting rid of your self-made blocks is to release all the hidden trapped fears inside you. Oh ofcourse you are fearless… come on… digging a bit deeper will bring you across so many of your fears that you don’t even realize are bottled up inside you…
The way to go about it is… (here I’m mixing up a few things learned from different methods and sources)
1. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Breadth out slowly while counting 5 to 1 in your head…
2. Repeat (1) 3 - 5 times.
3. Pause…. relax in the Now. Let all feelings, sensations, sounds etc… do whatever they are doing… Let Them Be… relax
4. Say this to yourself “Let anything I fear consciously or sub consciously come up”
5. Relax… don’t go looking for the fear… the first of them should come up in less than 30 seconds…
6. Don’t be afraid… it’s just a bodily feeling…
7. Accept the fear and let it grow as much as it wants to within you. Say to yourself “I welcome this fear as best as I can” (courtesy : Sedona Method)
8. Now as per the next step in Sedona Method (with a slight oz twist)… Visualize
9. Visualize yourself holding this fear and now release the fear from your hands as you say “I allow myself to let go of this fear forever” (courtesy: Sedona Method)
10. Pause. Look inside you… if it is still there… repeat (9)
11. The fear will leave your system right at the VERY FIRST TIME, whether you feel or realize it or not…
12. Now Go Back to (4) and repeat 4 to 11.
What may happen in 12, is that before you go back to (4), in some of you, the released fear will make space for other emotions - which have been locked and bottled up to come up… simply go through steps 4 - 11… if you think the new automatically coming up emotion is not fear… simply replace the word “fear” with “this emotion” - in all steps 4 - 11 wherever you use the word “fear”

For first timers there is another alternative…
Do steps 1 to 3 with your eyes open… now with a pen write down by focussing inside you what fears may be there inside you… let the answers come to you… don’t rush…
After writing down about 5 fears… now go to start from steps 1 to 12 and now instead of waiting for the locked up fears to come up… look at your first written down fear and go to step 9. - “I allow myself to let go of this fear forever”… after you are free from the first fear… look at your second fear… release and so on…
The easier paced this exercise is - the better is will be…
Here’s my list of my most locked up fears that came up while doing a similar exercise last night…
1. I fear Poverty
2. I fear having no Income
3. I fear Boredom
4. I fear Evenings
5. I fear Mondays
6. I fear Disapproval
7. I fear being surrounded by selfish people
8. I fear not being able to find serenity
9. I fear a loveless married life
10. I fear carrying that bitterness towards the two till the rest of my life
What are you fears? Write down a few… and if you would like to remain anonymous while commenting on your fears… so be it…
