Have tried once the book of her mother Anita Desai” the peacock”. Could not read the book. it was very boring and could not go beyond 10 pages. But that was years ago, will give another try in few months.
Only have watched Ismail Merchant’s movie”Muhafiz- In custody” which is based on the story/book of Anita Desai. At present its Shashi Kapur’s last film as an actor, if he does not do any other film.
