Good Luck WB
You know him as WB here on Desi Train. Always ready with his sharp sense of humor and ready to downpour it in the comments sections here. Well WB was missing from DT’s pages for a while and this morning I got an email from him that he was hospitalized. In his own words
There apparently was a (blood) clot in one of the
arteries that - could have been a cerebral stroke, or a heart attack - had to be surgically removed from my left shoulder. (At present) On medication, blood thinners - 2 injections and 7 pills every day, blood tests on every alternate day, may be for the next 3 months or so.
Mercifully he’s kicked the smoking habit. Just enough motivation for me to do the same.
Here’s wishing you get well asap WB. And here’s to your good health!!!

Many have disappreared - for reasons I will never understand - but I am still here. Why did Providence carry off all those amazing people and leave me? An old Desert proverb comes to my mind: Allah judges a palm tree by its fruits not by its roots. Humbling moment of truth. Everything we do - no matter how small - has enduring consequences. I have been given some time to reflect and introspect - what kind of world am I leaving behind for my future generations - and to undo the wrongs I’ve committed and repair the harm that was done. Finally, at that moment, I am able to appreciate the beauty that lies within, in spite of the fault lines and other limitations. I still have time to breathe, communicate, take responsibility, and enjoy the small everyday things of life. The world - even though everything around me says the opposite - is doing its best to help me. My battle is not over until it is over - but I am free!
@ Oz, Sumeet, ravptor, FB, VC, Cliff, cabymistake, KK, UJ (meri jaan :) )- Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Blessed to have friends like you.
