Fantastic Shot… I am impressed. The look in his eyes, the background. Notice the jacket very carefully. I guess it is the chain watch in his pocket. So, retro look. Wow Good Job Mani Ratnam. Looking forward to this as eagerly as i do to any Mani Ratnam Movie
definitely looks inspired from kamal’s look in nayakan.. i always look forward to mani sir’s movies, so this is no exception. i’d like to add that i did meet mani sir’s first assistant when he was still looking for his second male lead.. what i found odd about the casting is that the choices for the second lead went from saif to john to vivek to but then finally ended at madhavan.. talk about totally different looks.. maybe he should’ve just gone with me..? :-? ;)
Its based on a business tycoon’s life who makes it big after starting from scratch (dhirubhai is an example… ) But Ab Junior is looking damn good here… Looks like he has had to put on weight for this
Guru is definitely the story of a business tycoon… how he starts from the scratch and then becomes a role-model. But, it also has traces of war between DhiruBhai Ambani and Wadia. Sounds pretty damn interesting to me.
Wow…look at my Aby Baby….kitna accha lag raha hain. I must say..though I am die hard fan of Abhi…truth is he has grown up a lot in every aspect since his first him. I always used to fight with my friends for him..saying “yeh lambi race gaa ghoda hain”..I am glad he is proving me right:)
Mani Ratnam wouldn’t pick anyone for second time just like that. Hope this movie would do wonders for both Abhi and Mani:)>-
Mani is the real guru if you ask me. He virtually resurrected Abhishek with Yuva or should I say gave him a fresh lease of life. Looks like another unconventional experiment.
altogether again one more mega hit movie from mani rathnam,i am waiting for the movie to get release to see, mani rathnam and ar rahman combination will be a super success

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (thanks ozzie … where did u get the pic from ??? )
The retro look … chain … hairstyle….
Is it ala dhirubbhai ambani ????
By the way …. reminds me of nayagan. And Iruvar (Mohanlal, Prakashraj). Iruvar had lots and lots of crows scenes like the one in the back ground.
Can’t wait for the movie to be released !!!

Is not ‘Guru’ supposed to be a comedy film?
i think, ‘Guru’ is a comedy film, or is Mani planning to make a comedy film. A bit confused here.
