This seems to be a over-adhered-to action on a directive to ban access to SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) and LeT (Lashkar-e-Toiba) run blogs, which is known to have played a role in the recent bomb blasts in Mumbai.

Just caught this on Rediff.com. Also Labnol addresses this issue here (tip: Trasie).

Seems like India is officially blocking bloggers’ websites. Long live the democracy of India errr…. sorry… dictatorship in India.
