Summer's here. Time to get back to the gym, martial arts class or the Yoga studio. I've been in and out of all three at one time or the other. Dabbling in Okinawa Meibukan Gojuro Karate Do or Takewondo was good enough till the family genetics started ringing the warning bells. Bad knees. Someone suggested Yoga. But it wasn't motivating enough. I needed to be drenched in sweat after a workout. There is nothing more satisfying than coming out of a studio completely drenched in your own sweat (smelly: yes).
Enter Bikram Yoga. I heard about it some 5 years ago. Entered a studio and have never thought of trying out any other forms of exercise ...

Terrible become the day when bad do you start. The Yoda thing isn't working for me I guess. So besides my roommate getting his car stolen, my blood sucking VP back from his business trip and then going on a torture overdrive, this day's going just fine. Honest. There's still about an hour left before I leave for home. And I plan to leave my workplace in style this evening. I plan to enter my VP's office (who usually is out of the door 30 minutes before closing time), pull his European leather Arm chair, unzip my pants and pee on HIS FUCKING TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR CHAIR. His last - Maqbool was based on Mcbeth. His new product Omkara is based on Othello. Read the preview on IndiaFm and two things triggered the need to "Want" to watch Omkara.
(a) Adaptation. Taking Othello to U.P. Mafia land is going to be a treat. And considering Vishal's adaptation of McBeth, I have high expectations.
(b) Saif Ali Khan in the portrayal of a person with unflinching loyalty to his master to the point of becoming the reason for his master's ultimate destruction.

So T's talking to me about Indie film makers (Indie film makers - those with 100% passion for cinema and 0% cash to make the movie). Thanks to Jim, a Desi Train reader, I came to know that there is a Screenwriters' meet coming up in Orange County. About 10 miles from my place. Well that would be interesting. To go and meet successful (and the not so successful) screenwriters in Southern California.

Are all creative intelligent people getting into making money by dubious means? No wonder there is such a dearth of script writers in Bollywood.
A 25 year old guy walks into the UTI Bank in Vikaspuri, Delhi. He goes to the manager and tells him that he has a bomb under his T-Shirt. The manager better empty all the cash in the bank or else he will blow himself up.
So what does the manager do? He empties the cash - Rupees 42 lacs (about US$ 100,000). The guy takes the cash gets into a car and drives away.
