How to earn $1.4 million in 6 hours
The Seduction community has been on fire for the last 2 -3 days. PUAs (Pickup artists) are angry. Some are clapping, while many are shooting agitated posts and comments on the secret discussion boards. A few others have voiced their opinion by throwing the nastiest of acid on their blogs.
Why?
Lets back up a bit. About 4 years ago a New York Times writer entered the then secret underground pickup community to learn pickup. At that time, in his own words, he was an AFC (average frustrated chump). But he had an intense desire to learn the Game and pretty soon many established Gurus in the community took him under their wing. He learnt, he rose, he grew famous and wherever he went, he conquered - aspiring PUAs in the community and women in the field.
Few could match him in the art and science of seduction. In about two years after starting to learn pickup, he was now considered among the top two-three PUAs in the world.
And then he wrote.
A book called The Game. It brought the pickup community out in the open. Pretty soon every Tom, Dick and Harry was driving to the now-not-so-secret workshops to learn pickup.
Neil Strauss a.k.a. Style, the New York Times writer had successfully presented the secret community to the world.
The advantage: The pickup Gurus and the idiots who projected themselves as Gurus of pickup soon had a huge market driving to them. 20 year olds posting on the seduction boards announced they would teach pickup. Assholes who thought being an ass meant being an alpha male started raising the “I teach seduction” flags from their laptops. And money has been flowing in faster than the Shinkansen.
The disadvantage: A few days ago, I approach a three girl set (group) at a club.
oz : “Hey guys, could I get a female opinion about something?”
Girls : “Yeah”
oz : “Would you date your best friend’s ex?”
Girl 1 : “Oh we know that. Someone asked me that just last night?”
oz : “That’s my friend (quickly trying to change subject) … Anyway are you guys best friends?”
Girl 2 : “Oh I know I know I know… you are going to do the best friends test on us… Aren’t you?”
oz : “(Fucking Son of a bitch)… You talk a lot (looking at Girl 3 and pointing to Girl2)… Is she always like that?”
Girl 3 : “THAT’S A NEG… I read it in The Game!!!!!!!!”
I was out of there. Orange County’s clubs had been totally sarged / picked up by the guys, everyone of whom was learning pickup. And those girls who had not been approached had ended up reading the Game.

It was time for me to change gears…
A few months ago, Style developed something called the “Annihilation Method (AM)”. He then selected 5 people who were ready to pay him $7000.00 and he taught them the method, last December. The training was marketed under the garb of blogging on a few seduction blogging sites.
Two weeks ago started the email campaign. Style (Neil) started emailing PUAs all over the world on how he would never sell his AM to anyone.
Then came the emails that the “pressure” from guys all over the world was too much and he “may” give in.
Then came emails that he was “thinking” of selling his AM, but not to all.
Then came the emails that he would sell the AM to only 375 people. The method would be in 8 DVDs, 7 CDs and over 1000 pages of books/journals.
The cost. Not decided. But on May 27th, 2006 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, he would open the gates for guys to come to www.only375.com and buy the Method.
Then came the email that he was so “excited” about giving his secret knowledge to a select few, that he would invite them for an inperson workshop in Los Angeles, free of cost.
Then came the email that he would “never” sell the AM “ever” again.
So yesterday, May 27th at 10 am, guys log on to the site. And check the cost of the product.
$3779.00
To give you a perspective on the figure above: You can learn seduction and pickup from an established Pickup Guru, in person, for 3 days, 6 - 10 hours each days in a class and later in the field, for about $1500 to $2000.
It ignites the community on fire. Inflammatory posts, messages and blogs start rising all over… PUAs vehemently attacked him… “Style has sold the community out with his book…. Now he is turned too greedy… He’s turned against his own people… those who buy this product at this ridiculous price are fucking idiots…” etc. etc.
6 hours after the shop to sell Style AM was opened, all 375 sets have sold out.
Style a.k.a. Neil Strauss just made US$ 1.4 Million dollars in 6 hours.
He had just cashed in on his hard work. The work - that involved learning and applying the greatest of pickup skills and bedding the most beautiful women all over the world for the last 4 odd years.
Whatever be the community’s reaction, it is undeniable that this was a great marketing campaign. Anyone and everyone could see Style’s (dubious) intentions right from his first email. And his emails clearly looked like he was treating the community like a bunch of kids, all the time using the same seduction skills in his emails to market his Method. And he did it nevertheless.
$1.4 Million! Amazing! Absolutely Amazing!

Life is full of complications! Some are small, like finding that second sock or a clean underwear may be, and some are not so small, like how to bed that haughty hard-to-get hottie who has read all the public domain pickup bibles and knows most of the PUA moves.
How well we do depends on how good a plan B we have. It’s all about plan B’s - and to me it seems that plan B was what this Neil Struass guy had, from the begining - Plan A was just a facade. But what a facade!
Oz, I’d say just reuse the template and make some $$ for DT and self.

Very interesting post. He has introduced the community to a bunch of new people, but many guys won’t be willing to deveote the time, energy or effort to master the skills.
Canned lines will never work by themselves - everything you say and do has to be congruent with what you project.
