This movie could be something really really different from what Bollywood has made so far. Just watched the trailer at Indiafm.
The shot techniques and camera angles have high energy and an intriguing bent to them. The colors are clean, easy on the eyes and provide a smoothness to the rugged backdrop of Afghanistan.
It would be too easy to judge and comment on the slight over the top dialogue delivery especially in the case of Arshad Warsi. I'm not gonna do it. Unlike Messers Rediff and company, who in their words were quite tickled when Arshad Warsi points to the camera ans says "Osama Bin Laden".

I AM FUCKING PISSED. I had long suspected it and even made a comment about it to DT's circle this morning. But just now DT's web hosting provider called me up to report on something I had requested them for.
DT's posts usually come up in a couple of hours or days depending on when I can research and finish the article. During this time the incomplete posts are saved as drafts. Apparently Word Press, the package that is used to run Desi Train, doesn't have any security built, to prevent someone from accessing these drafts, that is if that someone knows how to do it.

So Aamir Khan's next "Fanaa", releasing on Friday, has been officially banned by the Multiplexes in Gujarat.

Fearing attacks on theatres in the state, the Multiplex Association of Gujarat has decided not to screen Aamir Khan's forthcoming film Fanaa.

oz was given an assignment by the Professor of his screenplay class to go out and watch the latest & greatest Desi movie playing in Southern California.

Imagine Ron Howard's problem. He has to make a movie based on a novel. A novel, which has had the highest recorded sales in publication history, next only to the Bible.
So every viewer turning in to see the movie knows what the next line or the next scene will be. If the scene is skipped by Ron-jee then he's criticized, and if the scene plays as per what the viewer expects, then it isn't upto the mark of what the viewer had visualized while reading Dan Brown's numero uno.
In short you are destined to be fucked from both ends. Critically.

Friday again. And in a few hours we'll be free for the next 48 odd hours. Come to think of it, a 9 - 5 job, does have its benefits. It gives you a sense of excitement each week, every week.
