Hands-Free Parallel Parking

Update: This is F-ing INSANE! Apparently Rakesh Menon read this post and emails me with this info: BMW is soon coming out with the “Auto Park” feature in some of their models in Europe. The Car does not only park by itself, BUT FUCKING HELPS YOU FIND A PARKING SPACE!!! Apparently its much more advanced than the Toyota Prius in Parallel parking, wherein the Prius you have to have your feet on the brakes but in BMW you don’t touch a thing except your ass on the seat…Here’s the video at New Launches… Unbelievable!!!

This is so advanced, it’s fucking sick!!! Toyota some time ago had introduced a computerized assist parking for drivers in Prius Hybrid model. All drivers had to do was “tell” the car between what two points the car needed to be parked.

Now Engadget shows a video down below where the Prius is parked “hands free”.

And like most other technologies, this parking assist option is available in Japan and Europe BUT NOT IN THE U.S. x(

    What’s the big deal? Satellite Navigation still rocks, although I’m looking forwards to the day when we no longer require cars. Scientists will genetically modify our DNA to enable us to fly.
