Goodbye Nadira

Actress Nadira is no more. Here was an actress with spunk which sadly none of the actresses today have. A personality which could flatten the towering of egos into jelly, Nadira had “the attitude” which others try to emulate but end up looking like cheap clones.

As Mahesh Bhatt remembers here

When she was shooting for my film, she was very temperamental, and emotionally unpredictable. She had her highs and lows. She was very naughty, amusing and articulate. She lived her life on her own terms.

And close friend, Tom Alter points out her attitude towards life…

She was alone in life but never lonely. I wish her the peace in death that she always sought in life

Rediff pays tribute to Nadira, rightly calling her the first glam girl of Bollywood.

The Mud mud ke na dekh girl is no more. May her soul rest in peace.
