Friday Masala

So what happened this week? Fardeen Khan got married. The MSM websites are in a race for “who gives more space on their website to this event”. I wish they could have instead had a race for “Who makes their website more glittery and sparkly” for this event.

Or perhaps who shows the most of Fardeen Khan Classics, live streaming, on their website. Classics which would include Prem Aggan, Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke, Kitne Door Kitne Paas, Khushi, Janasheen and last but not the least Shaadi No. 1.

Really is the media this desperate to get content on their pages, print/web, that they are treating Fardeen Khan’s wedding as the event of the decade?

What’s the next big time celebration? Dinesh Hingoo’s birthday? Oh forgot, that’s a Page 3 event. Page 1 covers stars only.

Can someone please explain HOW THE FUCK IS FARDEEN KHAN A STAR? If snorting cocaine is one of the eligible criteria then AH! I missed reading the rule book.

And results are out that the smile of Mona Lisa is 80% happy. Wonder where the balance 20% got lost in? Shit I have to sit for another 14 hours in front of this Buddha?

Bluffmaster reviews are out. As usual Rediff.com (Raja Sen) and IndiaFm (Taran Adarsh) have written reviews diametrically opposite to each other. But I’m tilting towards Sen. After reading my below the belt punch comment on his blog, he did post a synopsis of a certain movie in question.

And somebody please write to the television channel that Komal Nahata appears on. I have nothing against him. But does he read the contents before he speaks on TV? He is presented as a movie reviewer, trade analyst etc. Last night he announced the release of the DVD of “Salaam Namaste”.

And he goes “SN has 2 DVDs. The first DVD has the well, the movie. Ha Ha. The next has 1 hour of behind the scenes stuff, interviews etc. It is very fun. What? Ha ha. But the whole movie is fun. Ha Ha. Yes but the 1 hour stuff on the other DVD is fun too. Ha ha.”

And I’m sitting there with my remote in hand, trying to find a button which will take his “Ha Ha” and stuff it up his ass. Why the FUCK IS HE LAUGHING? DOES HE THINK I, WHO’S WATCHING HIS SHOW, IS FUCKING FUNNY? TAKE THAT * BAM * HA HA.

Going with buddies to watch this Desi guy from Canada do his standup act. Russell Peters. Have been hearing about him haven’t seen him before. So Friday night looks exciting. And if any of you guys are gonna be at the Improv in Irvine, let’s say a Hi to each other and talk Bollywood over a drink. Well…actually we can’t because you don’t know who oz is in the crowd. Maybe Komal Nahata opening the show could help us… Ha ha…

We can just look for the dude with the “shaved head”? not many Desis have the guts to shave their heads.. :-)

Well, enjoy the show…I won’t be there…I am freezing my ass in Chicago

Anon, your comments made me teary eyed. The next time you are in or around OC, email me. I’ll buy you a drink for such a sweet comment. As Komal Nahata would say…Ha Ha…:-)

    - vi, just came back from the show. Got a glimpse (thanks to the staff I know personally at the theater) of what an arrogant ass Peters is behind the curtains. This is the most fucking extreme dual faced personality I’ve come across in a long time. Will post about it tomorrow.

    Oz,
Yes, I have heard the same thing from people that know him…that he is very serious no nonsense kind of guy…and can come off as arrogant…we me waiting to hear your experience.

    - vi, Anon, Anon - I’m down with a sore throat. Not feeling too good. Sorry about not posting my Friday night experience. Perhaps later this week. Gonna go back to bed and lie down for a while. With my trip to Sedona coming up, don’t wanna be sick on my vacation.

  9. vi Says:

Hope you feel better soon, Oz

  10. oz Says:

Thanks vi! Besides trying to crawl around my house because of weakness I feel just fine :-)

There’s definitely better people out there than russell peters. Paul Varghese is one.
And yes, Peters is an ass behind the curtain. I happened to be editing an interview of his, and he just kept on eating pizza and hitting on the female interviewer and not even paying attention to the questions.
But then again, he says he’s been doing this for 20 years, doesn’t give him an excuse to be an ass, but whatever. Enjoy it while it lasts nigga.

hey way to go pal….i hate the way that komal nahata presents the show anyways….only question that pops our from his girlie smile and attitude is…IS KOMAL NAHATA GAY….just this week he has broken the release of malamaal weekly by breaking the entireeeeeeee story to the audience without mentioning nething abt the movie review….he plainly sucks this guy…maybe he needs to just keep his TRAP shut and look for something elsewhere
