Where is RKFilms.com?
What happened to RK Films? Raj Kapoor’s company had a website www.rkfilms.com. Either they have forgotten about it or have lost all interest in maintaining it. Cause clicking on the link above leads to website which seems to have bought the rkfilms domain or had the domain name of RKFilms falling into its lap. What’s up with that? I don’t intend to be rude, but have to ask this - Are the Kapoors too busy involved in working on their children’s filmi careers, managing Prithvi and what else, that they don’t have time to maintain a website which tells us and the future generations of the legacy of Raj Kapoor and the mesmerizing movies made under the RK Banner?
And if they have shifted RK Films to some other domain name, could we have the new web address please?

I wonder what happened to Shashi after Jennifer’s death..also his daughter Sanjana..who was promising..kya kapoor khandaan -gone with the wind, whata rich heritage of cinematic genius and gone withouta trace..hai ram teri ganga maili!

Shashi has sort of retired, though I’ve seen his name pop up once in a while. The last I heard of him was his comments on the passing away of Ismail Merchant. I think Sanjana is fully involved in running Prithvi. I have no idea what Randhir and Rajiv Kapoor are doing. It’s indeed tragic if the RK Banner has dropped dead.

but what’s sanjana doing with the Prithvi Theater? after she did some sort of work in MAYA Memsaab and Hero she dissppeared…and they haven’t strated any movie after that no?

Prithvi too is a part of the Kapoor legacy just like RK Films. It was in pretty bad shape until Sanjana stept in and turned it around. Thanks to Sanjana, Prithvi is still the one hot spot for theater enthusiasts in Bombay. No I don’t think she’s interested in movies anymore, as she has her hands full with managing Prithvi.

Sanjana Kapoor was not in Maya Memsaad or Hero. You seem to have confused her with someone else. Her most famous roles were in Hero Hiralal (with Naseer) and in Salaam Bombay (where she played a reporter)

Sanjna is now happily married with a 5 year old son. She spends time between Mumbai & Delhi, where she resides with her husband Valmik & son Hamir. She doesn’t do much for Prithvi other than supervise a little here and there. We never really saw Shashi’s children doing much in films or theatre. Sad to see such talent being put to waste. Alas all good things come to an end.
